Olivia and I were in need of some off-road adventures so, after coaching our awesome Sprockids classes, we hit the road for Cuyuna, Minnesota! The old pit mines have been reclaimed into a state park and have some amazing off-road riding.
We camped at the pump track in Cuyuna (which would be an amazing addition to any trailhead). We explored some 4-wheeler/Skidoo trails there to get the blood flowing and then set down for the night so we could get an early start on the trails.

After breakfast it was a short 15 minute drive to Crosby, Ironton and the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

3 hours of riding and 40km of trails shredded we were tired, happy and ready for the long drive home. Too short of trip but I’m really glad we made the effort.
Maybe the next trip will be this winter with the Fat Bikes and we can stay in a Yurt. Anyone want to join us?
